dance

The Intertribal dancing is open to all. The style is very flexible but there are a few rules of etiquette that dancers should observe.
  • The master of ceremonies announces the dances and is the one who decides who is allowed to dance and when.
  • There is a head man or head woman in the dance and they start the dancing. Others follow their lead.
  • The dance circle is always entered and exited through a designated spot on the east side of the circle.
  • Some articles have a religious meaning and should only be worn or carried by qualified individuals.

Native American pride

If I have left out anything of importance here please write and help me out. My understanding of American Indian culture is very limited but my wish to respect and learn about the traditions is sincere. Some of my ancestors came to this country as Pilgrims and were shown respect by the people already here.
